Placement in Norway in Biology

PRA2061
The course consists of a 12 week work placement period in a relevant company or organization in Norway.
Completion of the first two years of the bachelor's programme in Biology with satisfactory results, normally an average grade of C. Certain deadlines apply to work placements. See the placement handbook (Fronter) for more details.

On successful completion of the course:

Knowledge

The student should:

  • Know the work field, methods, and strategies emploied by the host organization/company

Skills

The student should:

  • Be able to apply knowledge gained during the first two years of study to parts of the host organization/company¿s work field

General competence

The student should:

  • Through own activity gain experience from work operations relevant for his or her education
Costs: Semester registration fee. There might be costs for transport and accommodation, depending on the place of placement.

Work placement
The study programme is evaluated annually by students by way of course evaluation studies (mid-term evaluation and final evaluation). These evaluations are included in the universit quality assurance system.

  • Practical training, comprises 100/100 of the grade, grading scale Passed / Not Passed.
