Livestock science plays a crucial role in food security, animal welfare and sustainable agriculture.


Programme description

This semester package is for master level exchange students wishing to gain valuable knowledge on different aspects of livestock science. The programme provides a solid education within the fields of animal nutrition, welfare and ethology, and also advanced knowledge on technology and innovations in the Norwegian livestock farming.

This semester package is offered to exchange students from our partner universities. The applicant must be a full-time student on a master's programme within biology or related fields.

Exchange students are admitted on the basis of nomination by their home institution. The student must first apply to their home university to participate. The home institution will provide the student with information about the admission requirements.

The programme is generally regarded as equivalent to a semester in the Master of Biosciences. If the student applies and is accepted into the Master programme, these credits can be recognised.

The students are expected to pay for the syllabus literature and to possess a laptop with microphone and camera. Cost for some elective couses may apply, max. NOK 2000,-.

Exchange students are exempt from paying semester and tuition fees.
