My recent publications focus on researching the Scandinavian 'state formation' processes, and the transformation of military institutions that took place within the development of the Scandinavian kingdoms.
Further research interests include kingship and governance in the Middle Ages, Scandinavian legal history, maritime history and socio-economic relations in the medieval period, among others.2023
