I am particularly interested in spoken language learning outside the classroom (outdoor education) at secondary school. Furthermore, I am interested in the role of emotions (including foreign language anxiety and foreign language enjoyment) and motivation in English language learning.

I have worked at Nord University since 01.08.2012 and I have been teaching in both the 1-7 og 5-10 programmes. I have taught different courses (English language, the English-speaking world with emphasis on British and American culture as well as English didactics (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)).

I am passionate about the opportunity our English students have to go on a study trip to the historic city of York and I have been responsible for planning many of these trips.

In connection with my PhD in English as a foreign language and outdoor education, I have lived in England for a longer period of time where I have been a Visiting PhD scholar at Birkbeck, University of London.
