Norwegian universities and colleges have, since 2011, been required to establish a committee for cooperation with the work sector. The establishment follows a broad national and international development to strengthen the educational institutions' societal relevance. The cooperation will contribute to better and more relevant degrees and other educational offers.
The committee will have the following representatives:
- NHO (Nordland and Trøndelag)
- LO (Nordland and Trøndelag)
- Nordland and Trøndelag County Councils
- The healthcare institutions (Northern Norway Regional Health Authority and Central Norway Regional Health Authority)
- The county governors in Nordland and Trøndelag
- Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration or Nav (Nordland and Trøndelag)
- The host municipalities for Nord University's campuses in Nordland and Trøndelag
- The student parliament
- Rectorate and dean's office at Nord University
