EndNote is a software that helps you collect and store references, cite systematically in Word and create instant bibliographies.

Where can I get EndNote?

The software can b​e installed by all students and employees of Nord university.

Students: Register with your valid e-mail address from Nord University to receive licenses and download links. ​EndNote can be installed from https://www.alfasoft.com/no/nord. 

Employees have to install EndNote 20 from the Software Center on their computer. 

  • To request an EndNote course​​, please send an email to ub@nord.no. Remember to specify your preferred location (campus).

    Introductory EndNote courses are held on a regular basis online, check t​he library's front page for course dates.​

    ​OpenOffice.org Writer​Yes, but you don't have access to as many functions as in Word and Pages.OpenOffice ships with an EndNote plugin. However, if you installed EndNote after OpenOffice or if you upgraded an existing EndNote version, the plugin won't show up in OpenOffice. To solve this problem, you have two options:Close OpenOffice and EndNote. Open "Programs and Features" in Windows and go to "Add and Remove Programs". Click on EndNote and then activate "Repair" from the menu. After that, restart OpenOffice.Uninstall both OpenOffice and EndNote and reinstall them by first installing EndNote and afterwards OpenOffice.​Yes, but you only have access to very limited functions.
