Patophysiology II

DYR2001
The course covers the most common diseases in dogs, cats and rabbits.

For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only.

Knowledge

  • has broad and basic knowledge of the most common diseases, injuries and disorders in dogs, cats and rabbits.
  • have knowledge about research and development in the field
  • of where and how to update his/her knowledge in the field

Skills

  • master relevant terminology
  • can apply knowledge of pathology on both theoretical and practical problems and to decide on the basis of professional knowlegde

General Competencies

  • have insight into and can reflect upon ethical consequences, challenges and animal welfare due to medical treatment of animals
  • can discuss animal health and welfare issues with others
  • is able to find, evaluate and convey theories, facts and problems both orally and in writing
Semester fee and textbooks. In addition to the semester fee and textbooks, it is expected that the student has access to a laptop computer.
Mandatory for and only for Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing.

The teaching activities in the course require the student to be on campus.

  • Seminars: mandatory attendance
Evaluation using mid-term and final surveys. Students are also encouraged to participate in the central quality surveys.
