MAF1001
The course provides a basic introduction to the subject marketing management. The course addresses how services organize, communicate and deliver their market offerings, as well as how business systematically and continuously analyze the market and competition.

Knowledge The candidate should have:

  • knowledge of how market-oriented businesses to develop their market offerings, and how businesses can communicate and deliver it to the market
  • knowledge of how to make their own reflections on the ethical and environmental challenges related to key issues in marketing

Skills The candidate should have:

  • the ability to prepare a marketing plan that specifies the challenges and opportunities facing the business
  • the ability to carry out an analysis of customers, markets and competitors (SWOT analysis)
  • the ability to carry out an analysis of the marketing efficiency and profitability

General competence The candidate should have:

  • basic overview of the marketing plan as a dynamic process plan
  • understanding of how market-oriented businesses can develop their market offerings and how businesses can communicate and deliver it to market
  • the ability to understand and use central models and theories of market and customer orientation
No costs except semester registration fee and syllabus literature.
Compulsory
A combination of lectures and seminars. Mandatory filing where analysis and description of the marketing plan is in focus.
The study programme is evaluated annually by students by way of course evaluation studies (mid-term evaluation and final evaluation). These evaluations are included in the university's quality assurance system.
