Nord University is proud to host one of the best English programs in the country – why not use your time in Norway to join us in exploring the literature, language, and culture of one of the world’s most vital languages? If you have been considering being an English teacher in your home country, or are already enrolled in a teacher education program, this package will give you deeper insight into the profession of teaching. Your experience studying English in Bodø will put you in classes with Norwegian students, where everyone will be working together to improve their knowledge of English. Our classes are taught at a high level, and at an international standard, making it possible for this package to fit into a wide variety of degree programs.
KNOWLEDGE
The student shall:
- Develop knowledge of textual structure and linguistic devices and of critical and analytical approaches to both literary and non-literary texts in English;
- Have introductory knowledge of traditional and contemporary literary texts and theory;
- Have increased knowledge of and insight into the English language.
SKILLS
The student can:
- Use English more confidently and functionally, both orally and in writing appropriate to the audience in different situations;
- Demonstrate English skills in a variety of formats.
GENERAL COMPETENCE
The student can:
- Deliberate relevant subject material and communicate in English in such a way that is adapted to their target audience;
- Apply knowledge and skills within the subject of English in an academic and professional context.

The study of English provides international students with a solid foundation for communication-based work in a variety of occupations. The study of English provides a wide range of language, communication, and cultural skills.
