Om meg/bakgrunn

Karin is an early career associate professor of entrepreneurship. She defended her doctoral thesis entitled 'The Mobilization of Collective Resource for Entrepreneurship: Case Studies in Nordic Peripheries' in 2018.

Karin is interested in Strategic Entrepreneurship, Peripheral Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship education, Innovation, Sustainability and the Circumpolar North. Karin conducted research projects in the maritime industry and in tourism. Currently, she works on projects about collaboration and innovation processes in the aquaculture industry and the governance of Arctic cruise communities. She is also associated with Engage – Center for Engaged Education for Entrepreneurship, where she works on entrepreneurial mindsets & higher education and education & societal grand challenges.

Karin is responsible for the cross disciplinary course 'sustainability in practice' and has lectured in maritime economics and management, innovation management, project management and leadership, sustainable tourism, and business practice.
