Rannveig Works at the Centre for Industrial Business Development (SIF) at the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her research interests focus on Innovation, Innovation cooperation, and Circular Economy.
Rannveig holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from the University of Southern Denmark and has an international profile having worked at universities in Denmark, Iceland, Luxembourg, and Norway.
Rannveig is currently working on several research projects on circular economy and sustainable development where she contributed to securing the funding, including INDIGO (Norwegian research Counsel, 2022-2028), IPR4SC, Developing skills in Intellectual Property Rights Open Data for sustainability and circularity an international project (funded by Erasmus program) and NoviKrog, Circular Public Procurement for Closing Local Material Loops (
I currently teach or contribute to courses on Circular Economy at bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. levels and a bachelor's course in Statistics. I am also involved in developing new courses for our Bachelor's program at Mo. Other teaching activities include courses on innovation and business economics.
My research is mainly focused on how the implementation of CE depends on multiple types of innovation that come together as bundles of innovations for integrated change, how regional innovation systems need to adapt to support CE innovation and development, and the role of cooperation in developing Circular Supply chains and business models.
Rannveig has held positions in several European Universities and is a part of an international network for researchers in the fields of regional economics and economic geography.
Rannveig has participated in research projects in Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, and Iceland with funding from national and international funding agencies, Including INTERREG, the national research fund of Luxembourg (FNR), and the Norwegian research council.
