Experience Pedagogy

ENT104L
This module is part of the semester package Adventure Knowledge, but can also be taken separately. It gives an introduction to the Norwegian educational system, and political and philosophical perspectives behind this system. The focus will be on efforts in Norwegian schools to change the view on learning from looking on knowledge as something that can be transmitted, to something that is a result of participation in social and cultural processes, based on activity, experience and reflection. The students will take part in study visits to kindergartens and schools and must themselves organize a one-day-program for Norwegian pupils presenting characteristic and interesting information about their own home country. This is called "The world experience day".

Opptak krever generell studiekompetanse.

Since oral communication and written work will be in English, students will have to master English as a working language to pass the course.
