Collaborative CG Production
In this course students will collaborate on a CG production. Choosing a discipline of their preference, they establish the following departments: Art, CG-Art, Technical Direction, Animation and Compositing.
One student per department will take the role as Department Lead, under supervision by a dedicated faculty member per department. The students will be provided a concept for production(s), which they take through all stages of development, to a final product.
The course also has a heavy focus on the production process itself, not only the final product. A common goal in the course is to develop collaborative and practical skills in the production process. The students will be encouraged to share their opinions with their fellow students, and to openly discuss the process as it is undergoing. In addition to the practical work, there will be sessions dedicated to honest reflection aimed at improving creative collaboration. Utilizing a range of tools and methodology, the students are expected to meet production deadlines, while collaborating in a professional and constructive manner.
