Associate Professor at Nord University, Norway, teaching Norwegian (initial teacher training), with a Cand Philol degree from the Univeristy of Tromsø 1997. Employed at Nesna University College, now Nord University since 1997.

I am a lecturer in teacher- and kindergaten teacher education. I am especially interested in early learning, language developing, reading and writing, storytelling and creative writing, as well as using the outdoor environment for teaching. I am supervising master, bachelor and FoU-theses.

I am working on a project on folklore. Another project is about early literacy. I am also participating in a Nordic-Baltic network with intensive courses for students from kindergarten teacher education.
