Publish your master's thesis

Nord University encourages master's students to publish their theses in the university's open institutional repository, Nord Open Research Archive.

Nord Open Research Archive is Nord University's open institutional repository. Here you will find scholarly publications by our employees and students, freely available in full-text.

Why publish in an open institutional repository?

  • Your thesis will be searchable in Oria, Google, and NORA, the national search engine for scholarly publications in open institutional repositories
  • You contribute to collecting and sharing of knowledge
  • You become a part of the academic community - and form good habits when it comes to dissemination of knowledge and information

How to publish in Nord Open Research Archive?

  • First you must assess if the privacy protection has been taken care of sufficiently so that the thesis can be published. Here you can find information about privacy protection in writing assignments
  • When submitting your thesis in Inspera, you must fill out a form where you consent to whether or not your thesis can be published online. This is in accordance with Norwegian regulations on copyright
  • The thesis will be published twelve weeks after the grading deadline
  • The thesis to be published must be the graded thesis. We do not allow submission of a new version, or modifications of the thesis

Have you already submitted your thesis and want to make changes regarding the publication, or are you former student wishing to publish your thesis in our repository? Contact Hilde Arvidsdatter Lyster at UB Levanger or Ingrid Nekså at UB Steinkjer.
