Software and Microsoft 365

Nord University students have access to Microsoft 365, including free access to the Office suite.
  • Students at Nord University have access to Microsoft 365.

    Go to o365.nord.no Here you will find a link for download and all you need to know to install the Office suite.

    • Microsoft 365 is available for students on university PCs, personal PCs, Macs, tablets, smart phones or as Office Online in the browser.
    • The suite is free and available for download on your PC or Mac.
      • This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Teams.
      • The suite includes Outlook (e-mail, events and contacts).
      • Office Online (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and OneDrive with 2 TB storage space in the cloud is also available.
  • You may continue to use the services, but you have to buy your own subscription when you are no longer a Nord University student. More information on the Microsoft website.

  • In order to be able to keep your files when you have finished your studies, you have to synchronise OneDrive to your computer or set up a private OneDrive account. Read more about this on the Microsoft page about cloud storage for students.

  • With Microsoft Teams, you can create your own study groups and discussion fora with chat and video, plan new projects and collaborate on files in real time. For more information, see the article in Nord-help "What is Teams?"

  • EndNote, NVivo, SPSS, Stata and MindManager is available under certain conditions. See the knowledge article "What is scientific software for students?".
