The programme develops skilled change agents with analytical skills and reflective critical thinking, which can use scientific and digital tools in practical problem solving. The programme facilitates the students to design their own study programme. With sevelral majors and electives, students can design the course of study from their own areas of interest. The programme also facilitates exchange stays at international universities.

We offer specialisation within four majors on master level:

  • Management Control
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Financing and Investment (Norwegian language skills necessary)
  • International Business and Marketing

The first three years correspand to the Bachelor in Business Administration. In the seventh semester of the study programme, compulsory subjects will be completed, which will provide students with broad knowledge within economics, with advanced knowledge of theoretical perspectives and models within the fields of change management, strategic analysis, valuation and profitability analysis, and research methodology. The subjects develop skills to critically evaluate established theories, models, information and its sources, and the ability to illuminate business-economic business situations and issues with ethical principles. Knowledge and skills acquired in the seventh semester are continued and further developed in eight semester through a self-chosen major. The major provides both broad and deep knowledge within the self-chosen limited profile area. Students will also choose one subject from one of the other majors to acquire advanced insights into theories and models from another subject area and to be able to understand interdisciplinary issues. In the nineth semester, students go deeper into the major area, and will be prepared to apply research literature and methodology for independent research work. This semester also offers a number of electives that provide advanced insights into various phage maths. The third semester also facilitates exchange for one of our many cooperative universities in the world.

In the last semester of the study programme, the students work on independent research within the chosen major. The Master's thesis is a scientific work that will illuminate a particular business economics issue through investigation and contributions to relevant research literature. By using appropriate research methodology for collecting and analysing empirical data, students will contribute with implications to evaluation and innovation in business economy cases.

To start the master's part of the programme, the students must first complete the three years on bachelor's level.

  • Be able to interpret, critically assess and use appropriate methods in an independent manner
