Language requirements
English and French B2
Exchange students with non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationality are required to obtain a student visa prior to arriving to France. It is recommended to choose the “visa long séjour valant titre de séjour (VLS-TS) mobility” since this kind of visa is much more flexible than the “Visa long séjour temporaire (VLS-T)” which is not renewable. University of Western Brittany, known as UBO Brest, is in the north-western coast of France, in Brittany. It is a multi-campus university, with the main campus located in the city of Brest - approximately a 3.5-hour train ride from Paris.
