University of Split SEA-EU

The University of Split (UNIST) is located in Split, Croatia. It was founded in 1974, and is organized in 13 faculties and 124 faculty programs. The focus of the research work carried out by the University is on scientific areas with reference to disciplines characterized by natural, biomedical, cultural, historical, social, economic and other features of the region as a part of the Croatian Adriatic and the Mediterranean region as a whole. This university is part of the European university alliance SEA-EU. This alliance consists of 9 universities, including Nord University, joint together by their marine and maritime profiles.

  • Housing

    The University of Split offers accommodation for Erasmus students  in the Student dorm „Hostel Spinut“ and Student dorm “dr. Franjo Tuđman (Campus)”, but the number of rooms at the Student dormitories is limited, therefore, places are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Link here.

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS.

    Language requirements

    English B2 is recommended.

  • Exchange students from non-EU/EEA countries must apply for a visa/study permit before entering the country of destination. Generally, students must be able to satisfy the financial documentation in order to be issued visa. For more information, go to: Residence Permit - UNIST

    All exchange students must have valid health insurance, regardless of their nationalities. Students may be expected to purchase health care insurance for the duration of their stay, in addition to the insurance the students have from their home countries. EU/EEA students must bring their EHIC card. Non-EU/EEA students need to show that they have valid health insurance that covers their whole stay. For more information, go to: Health Insurance - UNIST
