Parthenope University of Naples SEA-EU

The Parthenope University of Naples was established in 1919 with the aim of studying the oceans and the seas, not only from the point of view of marine physics and biology but also as systems of transport, trade and cultural exchange. The university is located in Naples, Italy, and it has approximately 16000 students. This university is part of the European university alliance SEA-EU. This alliance consists of 9 universities, including Nord University, joint together by their marine and maritime profiles.

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS.

    Language requirements

    English B2. Good command of Italian is recommended, though not a prerequisite.

  • Exchange students with citizenship from EU/EEA/Switzerland do not need a visa to study in Italy. You will need a visa only if your stay for study purposes lasts over 90 days.

    Exchange students with non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship must complete a Declaration of Presence which is valid for stays up to 90 days. For stays longer than 90 days, students must apply for Residence Permit.

    All exchange students must have valid health insurance, regardless of their nationalities. Students may be expected to purchase health care insurance for the duration of their stay, in addition to the insurance the students have from their home countries. EU/EEA students must bring their EHIC card. Non-EU/EEA students need to show that they have valid health insurance that covers their whole stay.
