Frode Nilssen
Frode Nilssen is a DSc and Professor in Marketing at Nord University Business School and is Research Professor at Fridtjof Nansens Institute. I also hold an MSc in Marketing from Stirling University and an MSc in Fisheries Economics from the University of Tromsø. The main topics of interest are related to International Marketing Strategy and the tension between Economic Behaviour, Bilateral and Multilateral Governance and Politics in the exploitation of natural resources. I am teaching and supervising at all levels Bachelor, MSC, MBA and PhD.
Through the professional career, I have amongst others held positions as a researcher and research director at the Norwegian Institute for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Fisheries councillor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow and a professor in marketing. I am currently Head of the marketing, strategy and management research group at the Bodø Graduate School of Business. My research is mainly related to Marketing Strategy, Market Access and International Trade and Export Barriers.
