Jeg er førsteamanuensis ved Nord Universitet Handelshøgskolen hvor jeg underviser og forsker.

Jeg er for øyeblikket prosjektleder for det internasjonale forskningsprosjektet Sustainable Arctic Cruise Communities: fra praksis til styring (2020-2023).

Jeg har faglig interesse og kompetanse innen innovasjonsstudier innen turisme, dyretikk i turisme, bærekraft, samfunnsutvikling og entreprenørskap

Jeg har bakgrunn som konsulent og koordinator i prosjekter for bærekraftig utvikling i Nederland. I 2010 flyttet jeg til Norge for å jobbe med doktorgraden min om innovasjon i opplevelsesbasert reiseliv. Jeg forsvarte avhandlingen min ved Nord universitet i 2015. Tittelen er: Practicing open innovation in experience-based tourism: the roles of knowledge, values and reflexivity.

Jeg bor på det nordnorske landet med mannen min, to døtre og hunden vår. Jeg elsker natur, lange turer, ski og midnattssol.

Jeg underviser på bachelor- og masternivå, hovedsakelig i ledelse og innovasjon. Jeg veileder også masterstudenter og ph.d.-kandidater i oppgavearbeidet.

Forskningen min er hovedsakelig innen turisme, læring og innovasjon. Jeg forsker for tiden på bærekraftsertifiseringer i norske reiselivsdestinasjoner og rollen til verdier og dyreetikk i reiselivs innovasjonsprosesser.

Fra september 2020 vil forskningen fokusere på samfunnets motstandskraft mot cruiseutviklinger, destinasjonsutvikling, læring, bærekraft og styring i arktiske cruisedestinasjoner.
