Centre for Industrial Business Development
The Centre for Industrial Business Development (SIF) is a research centre that focuses on issues at the intersection of industry, business development and innovation.
Vision: Leading knowledge environment where industry, innovation and business development meet.
Mission: SIF develops and shares knowledge about innovation and business development for a sustainable future.
The main focus is on research and innovation projects that are relevant for Norwegian industry in general and Nordland county in particular. The centre is located in Mo i Rana and is part of Nord University Business School.
Our vision is to be leading in research and education in topics related to industry, business development and innovation. We work closely with innovative tech-companies in Norway, as well as national and international research communities.
We contribute to the educational activity related to the bachelor’s degree in Economics and the MBA in Technology Management. Since the start of the centre in 2013, eight PhD candidates have defended their PhD at Campus Helgeland, and we continue to recruit PhD students and other academic staff to the centre.
