The Business School Mentor Programme

This is a priority programme at the Nord University Business School which connects students with leaders from Norwegian businesses and industries.

The aim of the mentor programme is to form a connection between a mentor and a student (mentee), where they can meet each other to discuss career and personal development. The programme is meant to provide insight into business management and the relationship between theory and practice. This is a unique opportunity for both the mentees and mentors.

The programme is also meant to reduce any gap in expectations between students and the business community, connected to competence, roles, demands, and career opportunities, among other things.

At the same time, the programme provides good opportunities for creating relationships between students at the Nord University Business School and the national business community, as well as closer cooperation between the university and the business community. The program duration is from Autumn semester to Spring semester.

In the application process, chosen students (mentees) will be connected to mentors. This connection serves as a basis for personal support and follow-ups via individual meetings.

Then, the mentee and the mentor can choose if the relationship between them is to be concluded or maintained.

The mentor programme will consist of leaders in some of Norway's biggest companies, both locally and nationally.
