    The program

    For those students, who are still wondering about their future carrier (entrepreneur, civil servant, project manager of public-private projects) this programme becomes a perfect solution.

    A combination of courses allows students to set the solid base of general business and economy knowledge during the start of the Master programme. The specialized subjects will be introduced afterwards with a great variety of selective courses, which gives students the freedom to choose the most interesting topics.

    Another opportunity, which opens new horizons for the students, is a semester exchange in the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv. Nord University Business School has established the links with the Economic Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The university is in the top list of the national higher institutions and has promising positions in international rankings.

    Should I travel to Ukraine? Of course you should. Geographically Ukraine is located in the centre of Europe. It captures beautiful nature, the rhythm of big cities, ancient cultural heritage and welcoming open minded people. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZMMJo7jOTQ).

    After completing the dual programme students will be issued with two Master Diplomas from Nord University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, increasing the competitive advantage of the graduates in the international labour market. In order to facilitate the travelling of Ukrainian students to Norway, the participants are granted with financial support. The latter includes covered living costs and a scholarship. Norwegian students are also encouraged to take an exchange semester in Ukraine by the Erasmus+ funding.

    The project

    In the beginning of 2016 Nord University Business School was granted with funding from The Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (DIKU) in order to strengthen the education and research cooperation between Norway (represented by Nord University Business School), Norwegian organisations (NUCC), international academic institutions and networks (e.g. CIGAR network) and Ukraine (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).

    The background of Norwegian-Ukrainian academic cooperation lasts for more than 7 years and in 2014 Nord University Business School has established cooperation with 13 Ukrainian universities by signing an agreement with members of the Norwegian-Ukrainian University Alliance (NUUA). Therefore, another strategic target of this project is to gain synergies and strengthen the regional collaboration in the field of Public Sector Economy Education between an Alliance of higher educational institutions in Ukraine.

    The main project’s goals are:
    1) To increase mobility of students and faculty in both directions between Norway and Ukraine;
    2) To improve the research-based approach to education by intensifying the joint research as well as joint education of young PhD researchers;
    3) To improve links and academic cooperation between universities, national and international public sector stakeholders in terms of securing relevance of education and research activities for the faster integration of Ukraine into the European community.
