International Committee

Mandate

The International Committee at Nord University has an important function to stimulate to internationalization activities at Faculty and amongst students, and to build a strong culture for internationalization within the institution.

1. The International Committee is an advisory board for Nord University’s management in all matters concerning internationalization in education and research.

2. The International Committee shall support implemented, ongoing and future activities within the institution that contributes to increased quality in education and research through internationalization.

3. The International Committee shall advice Nord University’s management in allocation of strategic funding for internationalization and follow up on the use of strategic funding at Faculty level.

4. The International Committee shall follow up on Nord University’s involvement and deliverance in the SEA-EU alliance.

5. The International Committee is eligible to make decisions when at least half of the constituted members/deputy members are present.

  Nord University's International Committee comprises 10 members for the study year 2022 - 2023. The Committee is chaired by the Pro-Rector for Education.
  
  Five committee members are elected from among the university's staff. The students (three committee members) are represented by the leaders of the International Student Union Bodø and two representatives from the Student Parliament.
