We are excited to offer this new possibility and are looking forward to welcoming students
Pro-Rector Levi Gårseth-Nesbakk
Nord Summer School offers diverse, intensive courses for young professionals and students who wish to grow their international network, develop their intercultural communication skills, and are interested in the Arctic.
“Northern Norway is spectacular in the summer, and we believe this pilot is a good opportunity for students to both experience the arctic beauty of Norway while combining it with academic studies. We have developed a set of new courses ranging from sports science to sustainability: there is something for everyone” Gårseth-Nesbakk continues.
Bodø: European Capital of Culture 2024
The city of Bodø will be filled with activities and programs of different kind, connected to its status as European Capital of Culture. This means that there is a range of activities to join, also before and after the Summer School-week.
«Although each course in the Summer School has its own time schedule, Nord University will also offer social programs for all students together some afternoons and evenings” says Gårseth-Nesbakk.
- “Registration opens March 1. Admissions process occurs on a rolling basis until courses are filled. As all courses have a limited number of seats, we encourage everyone interested to sign up as soon as possible,” says Anne Ringen Pedersen, Director of Academic Affairs at Nord University.
The Summer School participation cost is NOK 1000. It covers teaching, grading ad participation (including excursions). All participants cover own travel and accommodation costs.
